I upgraded wordnet using the recent security update in etch:

[UPGRADE] wordnet 1:2.1-4 -> 1:2.1-4+etch1
[UPGRADE] wordnet-base 1:2.1-4 -> 1:2.1-4+etch1

After this upgrade, most of the features of the "wn" command-line
client don't work. Only -over and -famln seem to work, everything else
I tried displays only two lines of text. For instance:

Well, this is normal operation. Wn without any additional option behaves
like this.

| $ wn work -over

[... and so on, this is correct ...]

Yes, this is correct.

I think this is the same bug as #497649,

Yes, this smells exatly like this bug - but I as the maintainer see
no chance to fix this - it is the duty of stable-security team if I'm
not misleaded.

which was fixed in lenny a
while ago. Any chance of fixing the bug also for etch, as the current
wordnet in etch is almost useless after the security update?

(I submitted a new bug instead of trying to reopen bug #497649 for
etch only, because I'm not familiar enough with the bug tracking
system to do the latter.)

I hope somebody at [EMAIL PROTECTED] is able to help out. I just
informed them about the solution which is available in wordnet svn.

Kind regards

         Andreas.
