Package: udev Version: 0.105-4 I'm using debian etch on a couple systems, but with a custom compiled 2.6.26 kernel. The systems have SATA DVD drives which are correctly recognized by my kernel. udev does create an scd0 device for them, but for some reason it does not create any dvd and cdrom links to it.
This happens on two systems with very different hardware (an HP ML350 and an ASUS P1-AH2), but both share the property of having a SATA drive and a recent kernel. I do realize that etch does not support 2.6.26 kernels yet, however someone suggested I should report the bug anyway, if only to avoid issues for people upgrading from etch to lenny.
