I tend to leave GnuCash running for weeks on end, due to slow start
times. The "Since Last Run" function should check daily for
transactions that it should create. Currently, it only checks at
startup. If GnuCash is left running for a long time, the user must
manually invoke the "Since Last Run" function, defeating the "scheduled"
half of "scheduled transactions."

It seems to me that the "since last run" function should always check
"since last run". It would be very counterintuitive to have it check on
some other schedule.

What you seem to want instead is a "since last hour" function. But your
usage model is a rather unusual one. I'll send the idea up to the
developers, but I'm not optimistic about their reaction.

Thank you for sending this upstream. Perhaps I my verbage was less precise than it could have been. In my view, having a "scheduled transaction" should mean that the transaction gets automatically created on that schedule, even if I leave the application running for days on end.

I'm not proposing a change to "Since Last Run", but rather that scheduled transactions not require manual intervention (or re-starting gnucash, which is typically a manual process anyway) to get created when their scheduled time occurs.

Thanks,
Branden
