Package: libimage-exiftool-perl Version: 7.30-1 Severity: normal The manpage exiftool.1p.gz contains (especially in the EXAMPLES sections) lots of ’ that should be ' instead.
If you copy a line like exiftool ’-DateTimeOriginal>FileModifyDate’ dir to your shell you will get an error message: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ exiftool ’-DateTimeOriginal>FileModifyDate’ . File not found: ’-DateTimeOriginal You need to change all ’ to ' to make the examples work which is very inconvenient: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ exiftool '-DateTimeOriginal>FileModifyDate' . 1 directories scanned 3 image files updated 3 image files unchanged I'm using Etch but I've checked the manpage from current package in Lenny and it still has the same problem, hence I've opened this bug directly against the 7.30-1 package.
