Same problem on my PowerBook G4 under Debian/testing+unstable (which
I hadn't used directly for months).

liferea version: 1.4.16b-0.1
xulrunner-1.9 version: 1.9~rc2-5

AFAIK, no Flash.

What I did is the following: I quit the Liferea that was running,
typed

  gconftool-2 -s -t string /apps/liferea/date-format "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"

launched Liferea again. When I came back more than one hour later,
I could hear the fan of my PowerBook and saw that Liferea had been
taking 100% CPU time since it was started.
