It fixes the bug I reported (#480231) in that it no longer crashes, in tests with: * xscreensaver is launched in single-head mode and then the screen is switched to dual-head, and then back. * xscreensaver is launched in dual-head mode and then the screen is switched to single-head, and then back. However, it appears that the bug #479715 is still present in the latest build (i.e. when i launch xscreensaver in single-head, switch to dual-head, and then try to lock the screen, only the original screen is locked). Is 5.05-3 with the latest version of the patch? I just tested with a version compiled with the latest version of Jamie's patch (http://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/xscreensaver-randr-patchb-3.txt) (...plus some changes in /etc/pam.d/ which was apparently responsible for xscreensaver previously being unable to lock), and both screens lock even when xscreensaver is originally launched in single-head mode.
