Package: etherconf Version: 1.10 Severity: normal
While upgrading from woody -> sarge etherconf prompted me to enter my broadcast address information (no other etherconf questions were asked). I have more than one NIC in the machine, but the dialog text did not indicate which interface it was querying about. I guessed that it would ask in order - eth0, eth1, etc. but this could get confusing if I had to step away from the machine in the middle. The dialog should indicate which interface is being configured. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux pez.droflet.net 2.4.18 #2 Tue Feb 8 17:36:34 PST 2005 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages etherconf depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii dhcp-client 2.0pl5-11woody1 DHCP Client pn ifupdown (>= 0.6.4) Not found. ii libconfhelper-perl 0.12 Library for editing configuration -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
