A "me too" report. Due to a segmentation fault in the postinst script of xulrunner, I'm hitting the assertion failure of dpkg whenever I try to do something. For instance, $ apt-get do something E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. $ dpkg --configure -a Setting up xulrunner-1.9 (1.9~b5-4) ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/xulrunner-1.9.postinst: line 12: 4477 Segmentation fault ./regxpcom dpkg: error processing xulrunner-1.9 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139 dpkg: ../../src/packages.c:221: process_queue: Assertion `dependtry <= 4' failed.
