There's no php-cli package in Debian. Where did you obtain it from?
Sorry, i shordend the package name by mistake. The package name is reported as php4-cli 4.3.10-13 by dselect.

It is a command line interpreter for the php4 scripting language. When I attempt to install it I get the message that php4-cli depends on php4-common (=4.3.10-13) . When I examine the package php4-common, I get the information that php4-common is version 4:4.3.10-15.

I interpret this problem as a mismatch in the compiled versions.

I hope that this additional information can help you to sort out the problem.

By the way, I had some problem with upgrading from Woody to Sarge. I resolved
that by removing the packages php4-cli and php4-pear. It's a minor irritation,
but if you fix it it will make the upgrade process more easy for novices. I
have a M. Sc. in computer science to help me, but I expect that most users
don't have my education. :-)

With my best regards,
