Support for pressing the power button to switch of the machine seems to be
broken. As I understand, support for this used to originally be in the acpid
package with the event file /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn and the script
/etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh.

The acpi-support package contains the script powerbtn-acpi-support.sh to
shutdown the machine, but not a corresponding file in /etc/acpi/events.
The powerbtn file from the old acpid package should be copied into the events
folder of the acpi-support package with a name such as powerbtn-acpi-support, as
powerbtn-acpi-support.sh explicitly checks for and avoids running when a file
called powerbtn is present in the events folder (to avoid conflicts with older
versions of acpid).

Hi Francis,

Interesting, thanks for reporting. Will investigate.

Cheers,
Bart
