Nice to have this free equivalent to Delphi. However it takes >100 MiB
and is decreasingly used.
The teacher of my son claims that Delphi is heavily used in German
schools (I can't verify) and I have heard from somebody that Delphi
is very popular in Italy (also only hear-say). I have no idea how
many space is left for the CD / DVD but Petter said the tasks files
have no direct influence (I admit I do not understand all this
CD/DVD creation stuff ...).
Depends: gambas2
Very nice, beware of missing/unmet dependencies.
Which are ????
As for the GUI builder, Netbeans was easier to handle when I tried last.
So why not trying "netbeans-ide | eclipse" as Suggests?
I'm keen on comments / enhancements because this is not my day to day work.
Depends: bwbasic
huh?
"Huh?" means what? ;-)
Depends: kturtle
yes, but part of kde-edu I think
So by what dependency this is resolved automatically?
Suggests: swi-prolog, swi-prolog-clib, swi-prolog-http,
swi-prolog-semweb, \ swi-prolog-sgml, swi-prolog-table,
swi-prolog-xpce, swi-prolog-doc
Very nice, but this was replaced by another version AFAIR.
There is a non-profit JPrologEditor that gives a nice GUI to prolog. But
it shouldn't be too hard to do the same thing with KWrite or the like.
(Emacs? - well...)
So you are suggesting exatly what Dependency?
How about:
python,squeak, umbrello (musthave), kdevelop (Qt/c++)
Sure, but shouldn't we recommend a certain Python IDE (other than
Emacs which I use - so please recommend something to include). And
squeak is "squeak-vm" but I added it on my local harddisk, as well as
umbrello and kdevelop.
There is also some neat educational Java apps that are GPLed:
JFractionlab, Geogebra, Geonext etc.
So you are volunteering to turn these into Debian packages? ;-)
Just go for it! :-P
Kind regards
Andreas.
