I get the same result as Dan. A new profile gives the same problem, at least
when the Outgoing SMTP Server does NOT require a username and password.
However, I notice that when I leave in a spurious username in the new
profile, iceape-mailnews at least makes a TCP connection to the server and
prompts for password.
