I'm not going to reopen this anymore, as you keep closing it. But
I wanted to comment some things anyway.

The closure was inappropriate in the changelog, there was no change,
a mail to -done would have been enough.

And, that I still stand by my initial bug report that even if the
code is derived, being it slightly modified from the original, it's just
a fork, and still duped code, which will make the security team have to
track both in case of issues. That its interface is different does not
change that fact.
