Err, I just checked, and, no, nothing changed. The interpreter libs
(and not firmware or whatever) are still shipped in a dedicated RPM
package.

I'm sorry to tell you, but you're 10 days late for April 1st.


All you need is the interpreter lib; the install instructions in the
README.Debian are valid and describe the recommended way to install
the interpreter libraries as far as Debian is concerned.
