Package: rsyslog Version: 2.0.0-2 Severity: wishlist I always remove 'mail.info' from the list of syslog files, as that always contains exactly the same as 'mail.log', at least in my experience.
However, the logrotate file installed by rsyslog only has 'missingok' with the first stanza, not with the other two. As e.g. colocated webservers won't have any printing to do, 'lpr.log' could also be optional... BTW, why are the mail files handled separately? Also, rsyslog could be reloaded twice every night, perhaps that could be optimized as well.
