Package: lzma
Version: 4.43-12
Severity: normal

Checking a big file I let compress overnight, (which didn't entirely
fill up a USB pen drive), produced this:

    % ls -log hda2_inspiron4100_ntfs.lzm
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 781074432 Mar 6 05:58 hda2_inspiron4100_ntfs.lzm
    % lzma -t sandisk/hda2_inspiron4100_ntfs.lzm
    lzma: Decoder error
    % echo $?
    1

It's unclear whether:

    1) there was an error running some 'lzma' executable code.

    2) the decoder found an error in the data itself.

Suggested revisions, as per the above list:

    1) lzma: Decoder crashed (... reason why goes here)

    2) lzma: Decoder found data checksum error at block 'n', byte 'b' of foo.lzm

Hope this helps...
