Dear Michelle Konzack, > I have tried to contact upstream, but I have gotten rejects from my > ISP <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> that the messages timed out...
Please contact your ISP. I'm receiving mails from freenet.de from other users, and therefore I do not understand why not from you... > However, since I have ONLY ONE "Nokia 6120 classic" which I use to > access the internet, "smstools" are now, since v3, useles since there > is no possibility for a "run-and-stop". As you already have the script, you could do the following: - check if your device can be used, and if it is: - start the smsd _using the init.d script provided_. - give some time for it, for example 20 seconds. - stop the smsd _using the init.d script provided_. This will do what you are missing. There is no reasons to change the SMSTools3, as Patrick already wrote. >From the logfile you can see how much time is typically needed to perform all jobs once. Also you can use the logfile to see the status of a daemon. Regards, Keke
