Package: netcat-openbsd
Version: 1.89-2
Severity: important

piper:~> sudo update-alternatives --config nc

There is only 1 program which provides nc
(/bin/nc.openbsd). Nothing to configure.

piper:~> nc
zsh: command not found: nc
piper:~> netcat
zsh: command not found: netcat

I need to install netcat-traditional to make it work.
