You are correct - that is the reason I'm having difficulties. I'm going to retitle the bug and change the priority to wishlist. It seems like it would be possible for cdebootstrap to detect this condition based on the current arch and the arch requested for the chroot. Perhaps an error message (before the installation begins) is appropriate. (If not, feel free to just close the bug). Thank you, Tony
