Hi, I have the same laptop and sound is working just fine with these packages : linux-image-2.6.23 2.6.23-2 alsa-utils 1.0.15-2 alsa-base 1.0.15-4 You should give a try to linux-image-2.6.23 (from unstable) and report back if your problems still exist. This hardware is pretty new and I needed recent kernels to get everything working fine. Regards, Didier
