Package: gnucash Version: 1.8.10-10 Followup-For: Bug #296693 Hi,
I have reproduced this bug several times - without fail, unfortunately. Here's the sequence of events used to reproduce the bug: 1) Install Debian sarge using netinst (RC2 and RC3 both used) 2) apt-get dist-upgrade 3) apt-get install gnucash 4) Run gnucash At this point gnucash runs OK, and I can go through the initial setup wizard. When that's complete and I attempt to open an account I get a dialog saying guile-1.6 has crashed due to a fatal error. I've run gnucash in debug mode and done an strace - both show no information at the time of the crash. I can run guile but I'm not familiar enough with it to verify if it works properly - I've fiddled around a bit and it seems stable. I've tried this on 4 different machines I've installed sarge on with the same results. I'm willing to help with debugging and testing as I'd really like to get gnucash up and running - I'd also like to know what Debian versions people who have got it running are using.
