Just FYI: The canon_user patch is waiting on the Bugzilla for the
upstream of the Cyrus SASL lib as well, but just as of early this week:

Howard Chu had developed this month back and Dan White and myself had
been using it any both forget to worry about getting the code committed.
It seems though that the Cyrus SASL people aren't watching their
Bugzilla and mailing list that much these days.
