Ideally, we will convert the various scripts to use SOAP but that would require a bit of a rewrite. The idea tends to come up when the scripts break, at which point the drive is to get fixed versions uploaded and it's quicker to just fiddle with the regexes than rewrite the scripts. :) I've committed changes that fix (from the limited testing I've done so far) bts, dch, and tagpending to handle the changes in link formats on the BTS.
