Thank you for looking into this.  

I got it from 
  deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main contrib non-free
and built it myself:
  Maintainer: Mikael Magnusson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

It's possible that it's not a bug in libportaudio19-0 at all; maybe
libiaxclient0 (from the same place, same maintainer) is misusing it.  
According to upstream, Mikael must have adapted libiaxclient for the 
libportaudio-19 rewrite all by himself; they're still using the (much
less capable) -18 version, and don't seem to know about his work.  

The date on the sources was Nov 22-25, 2004.

(You may append any part of the above to the bug report, presuming it's 
allowed to remain in the database at all.  Mikael hasn't answered 
e-mail about this.  Maybe he'd answer mail from you.)
