Was that meant to imply that I didn't understand the last time?

Yet that would be a valid deduction, IF you missed my comment in my reopening
email this morning:

        thanks

Reopening this is purely a formality to keep this unanswered message in
play:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=302814&msg=9&att=0

...since once a bug is archived its messages can't be publicly replied
to, at least
not on the original bug's thread. For further thoughts on the same
topic as the
        above message, see:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=302762&archive=False&mbox=no

Hope this isn't too much hassle...

..if you'd read that and followed its URLs, you'd find that I believe this bug
is a symptom of a larger bug -- where to report said big one I'm not too sure
-- so I'm complaining here, in hopes that its maintainers or tenders will do
their part and forward or clone the greater bug to wherever it is that it ought
to go, or suggest the best forum, thank you very much.

Thanks also for the specific tip on the minor bug.
