I have answered that message, and clarified the bug tracking system's web frontend slightly in response. The rest is intentional behaviour. Please leave this bug in peace to be archived now. :-) Other issues with how the BTS works should be sent to appropriate mailing lists, or a fresh bug on the bugs.debian.org pseudopackage once you have confirmed that it's really a bug.
