hi, i guess it is this [1] page in the wiki. it's about XFree86, but obtaining a backtrace of X.Org should work the very same way. i'm with cyril, as even the buggiest x-application should never ever be able to crash the whole x-server! just for fun: did you try to run openarena in a window instead of the default fullscreen mode? i have some minor issues on my notebook, running opengl applications in fullscreen mode... so maybe it's worth to give it a try: "openarena +set r_fullscreen 0" crashing x-servers can also result from "manually" (i mean these nasty installation-scripts from the hardware manufacturers' packages) installed graphics card drivers from ATI and NVIDIA! cheers - fuddl
