That was oroborus, I believe. I have since passed over it and I am

openbox which is a bit less strict about the minimalism :-)
very strange, because I guessed its working with oroborus - and I've
used it several years ago with oroborus - but it won't work with any
other window manager, because the proxy window, on which deskmenu
depends, is no longer supported, so the click on the root window wont
work. Btw, do you run gnome, or some other program, which displays
its own root window, and may create problems?
