Hi Yaroslav,
Thanks for reporting this problem! Sorry for the delay, I've been
extremely busy for the past couple of weeks. Your patch looks OK to me,
I'll include it in the next upload. Thanks!
Cheers,
Bart
P.S.: Just checking, what laptop model do you use?

A friend of mine recommended the package so I installed it but it did
nothing for me... so I inverstiaged (and I am running stock sid + parts
experimental, but they seems to be not involved).
acpid reports events like
"ac_adapter ACAD 00000080 00000000"
both when I plug out ac adapter and when I plug it in.
since lm_* actions do not actually care about command line parameters,
and call laptop-mode auto, I would recommend to substitute lm_ac_adapter
and lm_battery events files with a single file containing
event=ac_adapter.*
action=/etc/acpi/actions/lm_ac_adapter.sh %e
now my laptop seems to react nicely ;)
