Package: festival Version: 1.4.3-22 Severity: minor festival is being compiled without -fPIC since 1.4.3-18. This won't allow compilation of shared libraries at least on amd64. The linker will complain about relocating symbols. A shared library compiled with this flag will be mostly unusable nevertheless. This is very likely because of festival internals. Developers should avoid this kind of library and build full executables instead. This doesn't apply to i386.
