OK.  Is there anything known besides what I figured out today
regarding libc6-i686?  This is interesting to me also since I need to
decide which libs to install in chroots, i686 or vanilla.

Yeah, I noticed it today while booting a qemu image.  I wasn't sure if
the bug had gone away or if I simply hadn't tickled it.
