When I export an SVG from chemtool or xfig with default text and then open it in inkscape, the wrong letters appear, and the letters are all on top of one another. This occurs when the font-family is Helvetica or Times. Doing a search-and-replace from Helvetica to Sans, and from Times to Serif fixes the problem.
