Hi, I've the same error. It's quite annoying. I haven't tried yet, but I see on some sites a possibly workaround : (source: http://nixforums.org/about11980.html) enable CONFIG_LEGACY_PTY in kernel configuration. If I have time to recompile my kernel, I'll tell you more about this.
For the moment, I have a very dirty workaround that statically create the device file with mknod /dev/myconsole 136 4 c in an init script that is run before bootlogd (I'm not sure it works, I haven't reboot my computer yet). Whatever, if it doesn't work, which package could replace bootlogd ? any tips ? Cheers, -- Martin Braure de Calignon
