I'm having similar difficulties; in my case, the conflict between the
two package prevents me from installing my iP1500 Canon printer drivers.
Looking through the changelog, I see notice that this is now part of
oldlibs. If there's some transition to manage, and/or some technique to
manage it, a quick guide would be greatly appreciated.
