Package: openafs-client Version: 1.3.81-3 Severity: important
The modprobe argument in /etc/init.d/openafs-client should be "openafs$MP" not "openafs". Easy fix. Here's the diff: 134c134 < modprobe openafs$MP --- > modprobe openafs With the current package, openafs will not start when an SMP kernel is used. The openafs-client script tries to load openafs.o, but the module is named openafs.mp.o. I'm using kernel and openafs modules from: http://debian.csail.mit.edu/pub/csail-debian/dists/sarge/csail/binary-i386/ -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.28-1-csail-i686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages openafs-client depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libncurses5 5.4-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii openafs-modules-2.4.28-1-cs 3:1.2.13-1+3 The AFS distributed filesystem- Ke -- debconf information: openafs-client/fakestat: true openafs-client/afsdb: true * openafs-client/run-client: true * openafs-client/dynroot: true openafs-client/crypt: true * openafs-client/thiscell: csail.mit.edu * openafs-client/cachesize: 500000 * openafs-client/cell-info: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
