I disagree. It makes sense to keep the update script in case upstream
ever become active again, so that people (especially those running stable)
can take advantage of it, since it would likely be a long time before stable

But thank you for the suggestion. Please let me know if you disagree
with my analysis and I may reconsider.
I think upstream is unlikely to be resurrected, at least, without
SourceForge allowing a "hostile" takeover of the project, since he can't
seem to be contacted.
With that in mind, I suggest that the dailystrips-update script come with a
health warning, preferably in the README.Debian file and dailystrips-update
manpage, as at the moment running it will actually downgrade one's
definitions, in effect.
