Hello,
You can temporarily fix the icon issue by copying in
your /home/user/.icons/ directory an icon file and
renaming it to "icon-network" (it can have any
extension: .png, .xpm)
After you have done this, you can also use alacarte
menu editor (in Gnome) to modify the nmapfe entry, so
the command is "gksu nmapfe" (with no quotes): just in
case you want to run nmapfe as root for full options.
This way there is no need to modify the global
/usr/... directory tree.
