Package: 855resolution
Version: 0.3-4
Severity: wishlist

I have an Intel 915G chipset, and wanted to see how 855resolution
would deal with it. It has no trouble querying the card's mode
database when run with -l (output included at the end of this report
if you're curious), but attempts to adjust the settings have no
effect; both 855resolution and XFree86 continue to see the original
mode list. (If it's relevant, I was trying to adjust modes 3c, 4d,
and 5c down from 1920x1440 to 1152x864.)

Although I understand that 855resolution doesn't really claim to
support this hardware in the first place (hence the low severity), it
would be nice if it could notice that the settings didn't take hold
and print an appropriate warning rather than pretending nothing went
wrong.

Thanks.
