Package: kvm-source
Version: 28-3
Severity: important

Hi !

I have a 2.6.21 kernel and I wanted to try kvm.
I installed the kvm (version 28-3) and it was not working with the kernel kvm
modules.
So I m-a a-i kvm and I installed "home made" kvm modules.
Theses modules are installed in /lib/modules/{kvers}/misc and the kernel ones in
/lib/modules/{kvers}/kernel/drivers/kvm/

So the kernel stay as default modules and the "updated"/installed ones are not
used with a modprobe or automatic loading. Of course, a insmod with full path
works.

>From a command line point of view :

# depmod -a
# modinfo kvm-intel
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.21/kernel/drivers/kvm/kvm-intel.ko
license: GPL
author: Qumranet
depends: kvm
vermagic: 2.6.21 SMP mod_unload 686

# dpkg -L kvm-modules-2.6.21 | grep kvm-intel
/lib/modules/2.6.21/misc/kvm-intel.ko

Cheers,
Romain.
