Thanks for your response Romain, On this host I'm just doing MediaWiki development (WebDAV/DeltaV interface), so I'm using MediaWiki from Subversion instead of the Debian package.
You're right, I could install the dependencies and compile texvc from my MediaWiki source, but I would prefer to install a Debian package since it is more convenient: Dependencies and updates are handled for me (thanks to your work : ) Would you also consider renaming this package from "mediawiki-math" to "texvc", since this is the binary it provides? I take your point about texvc really being designed for MediaWiki: The output isn't human friendly. However it could potentially be used by other projects, like a Drupal math module. Either way, I would really like to to install a Debian package of texvc without installing MediaWiki... Thanks for maintaining MediaWiki in Debian, Jack
