Hi, first I saw another problem with icedove, but perhaps the memory leak is the reason for that, too.
Every time I want to export a message, icedove needs longer to open the file selection box, and it needs even longer to save the file. While opening the fileselector and saving the message CPU usage goes up to > 90%. When I quit icedove and start it again, the time it needs is short, but then goes up again with more messages to save. After I read this bug report I started top in a terminal window to see what happens. And really: the longer icedove runs, the more memory does it need. It starts with 14.1% of memory (256 MB RAM); after every event the memory usage goes up, now after 2.5 hours it is 19.3%.
