Heya, as mentioned before, python-support should handle a missing /usr/share/python-support/*/ directory more gracefully. There're enough reasons why package content does not exist (anymore), not only but also including accidental deletions and packages not containing the directory. Although this should not happen, it needs to be handled gracefully by the postinst/prerm scripts.
