are you going to change the maintainer scripts soon? There're some people out there who have installed he broken python-pyusb package and can't upgrade it now, this could be fixed by having a non-failing prerm script in the new package. As the new package won't go into testing too soon (as we're still waiting for glibc and gcc on arm or so... as far as I remember), we'd have enough time to get a new revision out, which depends on an updated version of python-support.
