It's nothing of that. However, the X.org upgrade somehow broke the keyboard definition, particularly the keys QL is interested in. Xev doesn't produce anything meaningful (to me) when I press them, whereas it does recognize the expected key symbols when pressing any other media key. Go figure. I'll see what I can find.
