Package: devscripts
Version: 2.8.14
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

It would be nice to have a script similar to rc-alert and wnpp-alert for removed
packages still installed on the system. This script would fetch the list of
removed
packages from http://ftp-master.debian.org/removals.txt and compare to installed
packages. It could also mention the reason for removal.

This would be very useful after distribution upgrade as this could detect
packages
no longer supported by Debian from the old distribution.

Greetings,

Fred
