I know that the current implementation has it's limitations, but I never
noticed a lag in the magnitude of "minutes". Even on my fairly slow 1GHz
laptop filtering for soundkonverter on wnpp takes a second.

I agree there is a notable lag on big buglists, but a minute? Please
tell me on what machine you are running r-ng.

Oh, an please keep in mind that wnpp has currently ~7000 bugs. So
filtering all elements just takes some time :) I'll see if I can tweak
the filter algorithm a bit, filtering the whole list and repainting the
table will always take some time.
