My system is configured for the french language, 'locale' returns the following
info:
LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=fr_FT.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=fr_FR.UTF-8

When I do, e.g., cfdisk /dev/hda, the line with the actions at the bottom of
the screen looks like:
[Amorçable][Détruire] [  Aide  ]  [Maximiser] [Afficher]  [Quitter ]  [  Type
]  [Unités ]  [rire ]

The last option, "Write" in english, "Écrire" in french does not show up
correctly, it looks like a unicode problem.
