Indeed, I'm generally patient, though, in my opinion, packaging should not take forever. Have in mind, that it will probably be another additional month till the package gets out of the NEW queue. I'm not a DD, but I would be glad to help you with packaging if you don't have time. The reason I'm interested in it is that I want to use it with amarok.
