I have a little more info that might be useful. I've been researching a bug that occurs in penguin-command, probably due to a bug in libsdl-mixer1.2. libsdl-mixer1.2 is also a dependency of chromium.
I ran chromium with the --noaudio option. I think I hit a record. 24 secs till segfault. So, even without audio, chromium still segfaults. Btw, my etch (testing) packages are all up to date. Oh yeah.
