Package: tiemu Version:1.65-6 After downloading a software update from texas instruments and converted it to ROM image I can't use tiemu. The program boots up and for a split of a second I see the calulator screen as it should be. With menus and the input field - everything. But before I can do anything it all goes blank and unresponsive.
I've never used the software before, and although I have a calculator and a link cable around I can't get a ROM dump because IBM for some silly reason forgot to put a serial port on their Thinkpad X40. The ticalc operating system version downloaded was 2.09 if I recall it correctly. Maybe this is #156152 reoccuring in a new shape? The error description in that report is fairly suitable for my problem. But another "little detail" worth mentioning is that my terminal is filled with this error message: " Link cable error: code = 5, msg = Msg: Error occured while reading to the device. " I could probably provide more info, but tiemu is not to important to me so I won't give this any more work without getting reminded. For the practical part I'll just make sure I'll remember to throw that ti89 into the backpack next time I'll leave home. -- /Martin
